What is the architecture of StreamSets DataOps Platform?

StreamSets has a separate control plane (the Control Hub that lets you design, monitor and manage pipelines and engines) and hybrid data plane (the engines that run pipelines). This allows StreamSets users to deploy the engines everywhere (as needed, and co-located with the data), but yet manage centrally.
