Job Description

As the Director of Demand Generation, you will connect Bigeye with data teams everywhere who are working hard to deliver fresh, reliable, high-quality data that their companies depend on. You will partner closely with product marketing and sales to reach data engineers, data analysts, and data leaders with the right messages through the right channels. You will plan and build a world-class demand gen function from scratch, working directly with company founders and leadership to shape our go-to-market efforts. You’ll launch and measure campaigns, iterate quickly, and leverage analytics to rapidly find and execute optimal strategies.

What You'll Be Doing:

You will be designing a successful demand generation strategy from scratch, executing it relentlessly, and building a world-class demand generation team from the ground up.

  • Find the right channels for reaching a highly technical audience of data engineers, analysts, and scientists who are often allergic to marketing.
  • Define and analyze the metrics we use to measure and improve ROI throughout the entire funnel.
  • Continuously experiment to optimize the mix of channels and campaigns, making data-driven decisions on where to invest or divest.
  • Design, implement and analyze campaigns to attract, educate, and convert future customers across all stages of their journey.
  • Partner with Sales and Product Marketing to understand our customers and improve their learning and buying experience.
  • Partner with Content to design and optimize the cadence and distribution of our blogs, podcasts, and webinars to attract and educate an audience of highly technical future customers throughout their journey.

 

What You Bring:

You’re an experienced marketer with experience reaching technical audiences. You have a proven history of successful work on a fast-moving team and have experience in both the strategy and execution aspects of demand generation.

  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B SaaS growth marketing, with the ability to understand technical audiences like data engineering, software engineering, and analytics teams.
  • A startup mentality with a bias to action, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and the clear and consistent communication needed on a distributed team.
  • A track record of successful strategy and execution of demand generation campaigns for SMB to Mid-Market customers.
  • Experience partnering with Sales to understand and optimize the customer journey and accelerate the buying experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to define hypotheses measure performance quantitatively, and articulate results from data to make intelligent decisions and inform strategy across the company.
  • Demonstrated project management skills to effectively deliver programs, and create alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing marketing software and the ability to quickly adopt new tooling on the fly.
  • Experience working with SDRs on outbound prospecting and campaign alignment.
